Prof. dr. Juan J. García-Machado

Professor Juan J. García-Machado, University of Huelva, Spain – Head and full professor of Finance at the Department of Financial Economics, Accounting and Operations Management in the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism. Head of the Research Group in Management and Modelling of Organizations of the Andalusian Plan for Research, Development and Innovation of the Autonomous Government of Andalusia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Seville in 1994. He has been Head of the Department, Director of several Doctoral Programmes, Member of Scientific Committees, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the XXVII Annual Conference of the European Academy of Management and Business Economics in 2013, and currently Member of the Senate and the Foundation’s Board of the University of Huelva. Member of the Doctoral Academic Committee of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Lecturer and Visiting Professor at many universities in Spain, Portugal, Paraguay, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Denmark, Poland, and United Kingdom. His research interests include, derivative financial markets, banking, financial crisis, risk measuring, online finance, agricultural derivatives, real options, and valuation of firms. His work has been presented in national and international conferences and has been published in refereed journals such as Sustainability, European Journal of Finance, European Review of Management, Innovar Journal of Administrative and Social Sciences, Information Management and Computer Security, International Journal of Electronic Finance, European Research on Management and Business Economics, International Research Journal of Finance and Economics and Spanish Securities Exchange Commission publications. He is a fellow of the European Academy of Management and Business Economics and the Spanish Finance Association.

Prof. dr. Astrida Miceikienė

Presentation theme: The Trends of Environmental Taxes and Social Accounting in the Context of Sustainability

Astrida Miceikienė is the Dean of the Faculty of Bioeconomy development at Vytautas Magnus University. She is a professor at the Institute for Bioeconomy research of the same Faculty. A. Miceikienė is Public Adviser to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania and Vice-President of club “ZUA alumni”. She is foreign Member of the Latvian Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.
She is an accredited consultant on handling of accounting of economic activities at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania; and an expert of taxes at the same Ministry. Miceikienė is an author or co-author of more than 90 research articles. She is an expert of 2 H2020 projects; a leader of one of them; an expert of 2 FP7 programs; an expert of 2 projects on development of cooperation in foreign countries; implementer of 15 national and outsourced research projects, working as implementer at 7 of them, and at 8 - as an expert.
The researcher has made presentations at more than 45 international scientific conferences abroad and in Lithuania. She is a member of 6 editorial boards of scientific journals, chairman of 10 conference organizing committees, member of 12organizing and scientific committees.

Prof. dr. Danutė Zinkevičienė

Presentation theme: The Trends of Environmental Taxes and Social Accounting in the Context of Sustainability

Prof. dr. Danutė Zinkevičienė, Research Institute for Bioeconomy, Vytautas Magnus University Academy of Agriculture. She received her Ph.D. in social sciences from the Lithuanian University of Agriculture and Kaunas University of Technology in 1997. She was head of the Department of Accounting and Finance from 2006 to 2012, also a member of scientific committees, Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the International Scientific Conference on Accounting and Finance. She is currently the Chairwoman of the Accounting and Finance Undergraduate Study Program Committee, a member of the Vytautas Magnus University Academy Council and a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Science and Studies of Accounting and Finance: Problems and Perspectives. Her research interests include:  formation of financial accounting policy and its influence on the financial decisions of business entities; research on management accounting systems; research on asset valuation. Her work has been presented in national and international conferences and has been published in the scientific journals – “Engineering Economics”, “Science and Studies of Accounting and Finance: Problems and Perspectives”,” Management Theory and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development”, Economics”, “European Scientific Journal”, “Studies in Agricultural Economics”, “Transformations in Business & Economics” in  proceedings  of the International Scientific Conferences  “Business Challenges in the Changing Economic Landscape”, “Eurasian Economic Perspectives”, “Accounting and finance”, “Economic Science for Rural Development”, “Rural Development” etc.

Paulius Morkūnas

Presentation theme: Economic expectations and business lending: how does the picture look like?

I have been working at the Bank of Lithuania for the fourth year, and currently I am the Chief Economist of the Macroprudential Analysis Division. Not only I analyze issues related to financial stability,  but also  have a chance to go deeper into corporate finance at macro level. Prior to that, I worked in the Macroeconomics and Forecasting Division of the Bank of Lithuania, and earlier I gained experience in a consulting company. I have a Master’s degree in Business Economics: Finance track from the University of Amsterdam as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Dundee.

Eimantas Gudonis  

Presentation theme: Methods and Challenges of Accounting in the Agricultural Sector 

Eimantas is an AUGA group team member from the very first day of AUGA, currently responsible for the control and performance of the Finance Department and the financial information provided to the banks and stock exchanges. During the years, Eimantas has gathered experience in the development and optimization of accounting and consolidation processes of AUGA group companies, increasing the efficiency of the finance department and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial data provided to stakeholders. Before joining the AUGA group, he has been gaining experience in the audit and assurance department of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
