Nora Marija Laurinaitytė
Unlocking the Potential of Green Finance
Nora Marija Laurinaitytė is the Green Finance Expert at the Lithuanian Green Finance Institute and Assistant at Vilnius University Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (VU FEBA). The Lithuanian Green Finance Institute is the green finance competence centre promoting the use of ESG methodologies in the investment evaluation processes, increasing the knowledge of green finance and possible sources of green funding solutions, and advising on the application of the new regulatory requirements in sustainability. Nora’s primary areas of expertise are the financial instrument design in the realm of the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities and carbon footprint calculation as well climate and nature-related financial risks assessment. Her primary research interests are empirical climate finance and pricing of risks. As Assistant at VU FEBA, Nora teaches courses such as Computing and Data Analysis, Applied Finance and Financial Markets, and supervises bachelor theses in topics related to climate finance and asset pricing. Nora holds a PhD in Finance from the Goethe University Frankfurt and has vast experience in both private sector as a market maker/FX trader as well as working as an economist for the central bank – the Bank of Lithuania.
